Mostly a site inspection rather than a working bee today. In particular, I had another look at the west bank. It has a lot of good stuff there but privet is still an issue.
A quick summary of work done on the day. Namely, removing lantana and freeing up the sandpaper fig saplings.
Once again, just pushing back on lantana. I came across a large sandpaper fig tree that I had previously freed up from lantana.
Another productive day of landcare at Dick’s Creek reserve. More lantana removal…
Working bee that focused on lantana, privet saplings, fishbone fern, ginger lilly and palm grass. A solid effort that will hopefully product a good outcome in the next few months.
Last week’s successful attack on lantana motivated me to do the same thing again this time. However, as is often the way, walking to the desired location is full of distractions that were too hard to ignore.
